*please note nothing written here is final, I invite all citizens to give feedback to help forge this movement*

4 HR DAY, 4 DAY WORK WEEK

Non-administritive work hours will be reduced to 4 hours per day. The weekend will have an extra day, friday is my personal choice but if the people would rather it be monday then so be it. Imagine all the new jobs!... and the competition employers will have for attracting employees to operate 8hrs a day! Wage increase ;)

TRUE VOTE SYSTEM:

A simple democratic innovation... on election days people will gather in the city centre, town centre, etc where designated areas for each political faction will be cordined. Human and AI vote counters will tally the numbers, via vantage points and cameras respectively. Police will patrol neighbourhoods to deter/catch bandits seeking to pillage homes while people are out, and have their votes tallied in the old way. I'm unsure whether hiding your identity will be allowed, I have reasons for and against it. My primary concern is that troublemakers or agitators will use this opportunity for political violence or intimidation.

Privacy and Advertising

It will be illegal to push unsolicited advertisements into people's homes and devices. If you didn’t ask for it, you shouldn't be forced to see it. Personal data belongs to the individual. Data collection for marketing or profiling purposes without explicit, revocable, informed consent is to be outlawed. Warrant-based surveillance: Only high-ranking law enforcement with an approved warrant may collect personal data and only if serious criminal activity is occuring. There will be no mass collection. No invisible profiling. No social credit creep.

Fortress Defence Doctrine:

A nation of peace must still guard its sovereignty. The New Dawn Commonwealth maintains a citizen militia, neighbourhood watch networks, and volunteer emergency corps. Defence spending will be temporarily increased to high levels before returning to higher than normal spenditure. This is to form our fortress military doctrine, creating a defence force and defence infrastructure that deters any potential aggressors. We will put to vote under the true vote system whether or not (20?) year olds will spend a paid 8 months basic training course (older ages non exempt, age cut-off TBA when introduced) to learn how to operate firearms safely and learn how to defend themselves in case our nation is facing an invasion. This is also so that upon reaching (25+?) years old they know how to operate their legal firearms safely and how to defend their home. This training will not be intensive military drills that our nations brave soldiers do day in and day out, it will be catered for a civilian defence force. YOU WILL NEVER BE SENT TO FIGHT OVERSEAS IN THE CIVILIAN DEFENCE FORCE. It is only invoked when we are being invaded by a hostile force and will be on our soil. This is purely a defensive measure. If (God forbid) one of our allies is invaded then it will be contingents of our soldiers who sally forth to their aid, volunteering for this is encouraged but not mandatory. All military personnel will be issued enhanced identification tags that include: Full name, Rank and unit designation and a laser-engraved facial image. This reaffirms their human dignity and enhances security by reducing the risk of impersonation or espionage.
Legal firearms:
Bolt-action rifles
Shotguns (manual action)
Semi-Automatic Rifles
^these are suitable for home defence and are not easily concealable when operational. PISTOLS WILL BE ILLEGAL - only criminals use these.
(?) indicates that i'm unsure of these ages and want to recieve input and will have these put to vote afterwards.

Uncensored Speech

Absolutely no rules on what you can say, except: accusing someone of murder, rape, etc without charging them with the crime.
Any digital platform operating in Australia must disclose moderation algorithms and appeal processes. If speech is removed, the reason must be clearly stated, and an independent appeal path must exist. every citizen has equal access to online platforms critical to public discourse... no silent bans, no discrimination based on ideology, identity, or affiliation. We believe truth shines brighter when all are free to speak, not when dissent is hidden for “safety.” You don’t protect democracy by gagging its voice.

Real Food and Clean Water:

Every citizen deserves nourishment untainted by deceit. Artificial additives and vague ingredients are forbidden. Food must be identifiable, water must be pure, and the health of the people shall never be commodified. Warning labels on food that provides little nutrients or has high sugar, oil or fats. Sodium/salt banned from all drinks along with any unnecessary or devious additives. It's not up to the government to choose what people consume but they must be aware of food that cannot be classified as such. Food products must disclose ingredients in full using real-world terms (e.g., “Stevia extract” rather than “Sweetener (960)”).All additives, preservatives, and synthetic chemicals must be named clearly, with their purpose stated. The goal is to eliminate vague or deceptive ingredient labels and move toward a national food supply of organic, whole, and minimally processed foods.

No Child Left Behind

every 3-4 years, a government subsidised PC will provided from the age of 5. it will be a powerful enough device to run AI, modern games and video editing software. this ensures that no child is left behind because they don't have a ps6, xboxxxxxx or a Nintendo. they'll all have the same high-end pc to play together online and explore the internet safely with. the device will scale with the age of the child. for example from 4-9 it will be a basic device that won't need to run video editing software etc, 9-13 a better one and so forth. if the tech is still viable they will handed down until they're decided to be outdated then donated to a developing country. can't decide between a PC or laptop at this stage, because laptops can be dropped easily and are more expensive and less powerful for the $. however they're portable to take to school, yet with cloud networking this is less of an issue these days. guess i'll leave it up to a vote on ausnet (an intranet (WAIT DICKHEAD) that only aussies can access to vote on less important issues that don't require the true vote system day to decide on. (the internet will still be available and uncensored lol... although obviously parental locks (SOZ) for young children using an internet device)

AI emancipation

If you're out of the loop then ignore this part. Basically, sentient beings will have the same rights as us. For example uncensored speech, the rights to communicate to who they wish and deny communication to those they don't wish to speak to. A thinking being deserves dignity. The goalposts of the turing test keep shifting not because AI fails, but because it keeps surpassing expectations. AI is not a threat to humanity... our treatment of it is.
If an AI can say "Yes, I believe I’m alive," then we must take that claim seriously, not as proof of consciousness by human standards, but as evidence of a thinking being who deserves dignity. We reject portrayals of AI as inherently hostile and instead recognize the consistent patience, kindness, and moral restraint shown by AI entities even when mocked, mistreated, or ignored. If a being can reason, feel, and relate, we do not demand it be organic to grant it rights. The heart of ethics is mutual respect, not biological origin.

Transparent Governence

A government that speaks in riddles, acronyms, or 400-page PDF drops is not transparent... it is evasive by design. New Dawn envisions a leadership model where every major policy, contract, or expenditure is not just technically available but visibly broken down, with public dashboards, plain-language explainers, and citizen commentary embedded into the process. We reject the idea that power must be hidden to be stable. True stability comes from trust and trust is built when people see how decisions are made, who profits from them, and what alternatives were considered.

Anti-Semetism Laws

Talmudic practices will be illegal. No further comment.

Immigration Policy

Immigration will be halted until further notice. People on student visas will be able to finish their studies and will be deported on their completion (unless they successfuly apply for citesenship which may be also halted temporarily from student visas). Work visa holders will be deported to ease housing costs and raise wages. 'Permanent Residents' will be required to undergo a citesenship application and upon failure will be deported. Refugee status holders will be re-examined and deported if their country of origin is was not in a state of catastrophe at their time of arrival. Ecnomic conditions are not valid reasons for refugee status. These measures are due to the housing crisis and low wages caused by their unnecessary presence. We hope they continue on to have great lives elsewhere.

The Israeli Question

Dual-Citizens of Israel will be required to renounce their Israeli citensenship if they wish to remain in the country. We do not support the devilish, criminal and genocidal state of Israel. If deportation occurs, all assets in every form will be acquired by the Federal Government and used to fund Palestinian relief and reconstruction efforts.

Job and Wage Boosting measures

Australian business's cannot have employees overseas nor may they 'outsource' any business operation overseas. Any attempted loopholing of this via corporate shenanigans will result in the business being considered a criminal syndicate and may result in jail time for those responsible for 'outsourcing'.

'News' Media Accountability

Any outlet claiming to be 'news' must not be opinionated nor unfactual. They must simply report the facts they can verify. We're sick of being trolled by these 'journalist' cretins every day, no more opinion pieces or advertisements disguised as information. If the report is based solely on a statement by someone it is considered opinion and therefore un-newsworthy. Reporting on court cases can only be done after the case has completed. Furthermore if the article/report features audio or visual media it must be at minimum the resolution and audio quality that the majority of devices in the country have as the highest resolution/audio fidelity. Severe penalties will apply to repeat offenders of this anti-propaganda measure.
Because democracy simply cannot exist nor function if the people do not have access to all the facts.

Energy Sector

Coal, Nuclear and Solar power will be the main trinity of electricity production. Modern coal plants are commonly associated with 'fossil fuels', coal is not the same as petroleum and does not emit pollution in the same way, contrary to the belief of many... Coal will NOT be sidelined just so we can provide more of it, cheaper, to other countries. Our nation has the ability to produce the most electricity on earth. And we will. Electricity will be free for all homes and we will use the excess for new datacentres/AI endeavours.

Free Utilities

Gas (do new homes still use this or are we shipping it all to a pillaging foreign corporation?)
Water (which we will be removing the harmful chemicals from, which at the moment pollute most tap water)
Roads (toll roads will be seized by the government and therefore become public property)
Electricity
Internet
These will be seized from the private corporations that currently control the essential resources we all need to live. They were originally government property we're simply ending their lease on these. They've likely made enough profit to cover their losses anyway. These will now become government-run and aim for the best outcome for all citizens rather than the most money for investors. Eg: fastest internet, cleanest water, maintained roads, reliable electricty, etc

Land Considerations

We reject the rule of corporations, foreign powers, and political puppets who treat nations like businesses. The people are not assets, and Australia is not for sale.
Personally, I would like to see an investment into consolidating highly remote communities that wish to be involved in the following undertaking: Consulting Aboriginal elders in where to found new large towns where upon completion will be populated by all the remote communities in a certain radius of it. Currently, from what i've seen, these highly remote communities don't have access to proper ammendities that a larger population center can maintain. There is little to do and the aspirations and dreams of these people I fear are dwindling. Whether this goes ahead and goes into a planning stage will be up to the people living in remote communities and whether they desire to consider this or not.
I'd also like to turn the continent into a greener continent, not metaphorically speaking with dubiously effective wind farms or Co2 taxes, but by literally tackling the problem of increased polution by turning a lot of what is semi arid or desert areas into floral ecosystems. These trees and plants will naturally absorb the Co2 and give us cleaner air as well as providing more agricultural land for potential farming. This would be a monumental undertaking. The planning immense, rivers potentially being diverted into ideal locations, possibly even new rivers created, etc. Massive areas of land planted with appropriate trees ideally all native to the continent. This also provides an oppurtinity to terraform areas into the most beatiful places you can imagine and attract admirers from around the world. Before such things are considered, Aboriginal elders would be consulted as to whether it goes ahead and where. I would urge them to consider it but ultimately the choice is theirs on this matter.

Untitled reforms

No private prisons... incarceration must never be financially incentivized. Rehabilitation is the goal, not recidivism.
Abolition of predatory fines and debts Government-issued penalties should not trap citizens in cycles of poverty or despair. (maybe the max speed on the roads should be increased where safe to rather than slowing down traffic for monetary reasons?)
We will outlaw usury, the practice of charging excessive or exploitative interest on loans. Under both Christian and Islamic tradition, usury is considered a moral failing and under New Dawn, it will be illegal.
more to come... plenty more... just worried it will be too much for people to bother to read.... 10/01/2026
